Might be ok for surge protection, but cuts off way below rating at constant current.

My last circuit breaker was popping all the time with my setup. So far I’ve been running this one for a few months with no issues. I don’t have the most powerful system but it’s iight.

I wanted it for a 10 gauge circuit,I think you could fit #4 if you wanted.

Being capable of switching a circuit on/off manually, is rather nice. Having that same ability, with an automatic high-current circuit breaker also, is unbeatable. This product is actually a direct doppleganger for the Stinger disconnect which costs nearly double and does the same thing! I will always use one of these to run my 1kRMS car subwoofer amplifier (it can draw over 100Amps DC in no time at all, so popping fat expensive fuses repeatedly, just isnt an affordable idea), but with a super high-current capacity like 300A, I can still run the amplifier, but also an air compressor and another amplifier at the same time and not disrupt the electrical system. Pretty cool. The button disconnects power. The lever resets it. Hex key screws bind your 1gauge cable ends directly to the inner lugs. Place the insulative clear plastic cover over the lugs, and its all protected. Its best to screw the breaker down to a solid surface, of course. Easy. No fiddling with those stupid fuse pods that melt away on the ends and cause more problem than they are worth.Just make sure you keep the lugs tight on your cable by applying a correct size end-ferrule crimp to the cable. This will ensure that there is a solid divot in which the grub screw can stay buried into and retain its position and clamping force.I do recommend this resettable circuit breaker for automotive audio enthusiasts and marine applications. It may even be good for small winch operation or at least trailer winch battery recharge circuits. Lots of uses!

During power outages - many in south Florida - I use my Chevy Bolt for emergency power. Using a 1000W inverter, I can power the fridge, computers and router, TV, and lights for up to two weeks. This setup involved installing a cable connected to the twelve volt battery to connect it to the inverter. If anything shorted in the inverter or APP connector, this could be catastrophic! Installation of the 100A breaker in this cable now provides peace of mind that my battery is safe. The red block in the photo is the APP connector that mates with an identical connector on the Samlex inverter.

I have a 300 amp winch on my flatbed trailer that is powered from the batteries of my farm truck. I had a marine battery 250 amp fuse hard-wired into the positive cable. This fuse blows fairly regularly when I am winching heavy equipment onto the trailer. It is time consuming having to unbolt and replace the fuse which cost $17 a pop at this time.I replaced the marine battery fuse with this 300 amp Resettable Breaker. It was easy to install and it works well. It tripped once on me, I waited 2 minutes for it to cool down, reset it and I was back in business. This Resettable Circuit Breaker works well for me!Review for: Tiooka 300Amp Circuit Breaker Resettable 300A Circuit Breaker with Manual Reset Button Solar Energy Inline Circuit Breaker for Car Audio Amps Protection Waterproof Cover for Motor Auto Car Marine Boat

I have a pretty ridiculous audio system and it is wired in such a way that a 250 amp breaker is an appropriate sized breaker. Definitely don't recommend a breaker this big unless you know you are using the amperage because chances are you won't get this breaker to flip on any thinner gauge wire which would make it pointless. Be sure to use the smallest breaker you can get away with for the safest results.

This is handy, combining as it does overcurrent protection and disconnect functions. The connectors have a reducer collar to use with smaller gauge cable. The clamp screw is interesting, in that it has radial teeth on the surface that contacts the wire. I've never seen this before, but it works well. Testing a small 8 AWG cable, I was impressed with the way it spreads the cable out for more contact area. It forms a divot in the cable, and I doubt the cable could work loose in a real-world application. There's only one thing that gives pause. After a lifetime in aviation, I cringe at anodized aluminum used in electrical connections. It produces too much resistance. And the connectors on this breaker appear to be anodized aluminum. Maybe it's not a big deal for some applications, but I wanted to use this with Lithium batteries, where a little bit of resistances IS a big deal.
