Very affordable. I actually used it as a diagnostic tool. Was able to confirm that the motherboard in the furnace was bad.

This Furnace Flame Sensor Rod fits our older Rheem furnace. We were having trouble with our furnace turning on, then shutting down even when the furnace wasn't close to the temperature set on our thermostat. After extensive reading and watching a number of videos about our older furnace, we learned that the symptoms matched the issues expected when a furnace flame sensor rod starts to fail. The first thing we tried was to clean off the deposits on the rod. That gave us a few extra hours of heat, but the improvement didn't last. We ordered this sensor rod and this part fits our older furnace. We are very hopeful that this replacement part has fixed the problem and our furnace will continue to put out consistent heat.

Over the last several years I have had to lightly sand my flame sensor in order for my Rheem furnace to fire up. Luckily, it has always worked. In researching the offerings for replacements at the big box stores, I noticed that most of them are generic flame sensors. While they may work just fine after fiddling around with them for a bit, I feel much more confident having the actual replacement that will fit and work in my furnace

Every couple years my furnace will fail to operate because of a flame sensor error. It always happens when the winter weather is at it's coldest. Whenever this happens, I have two options...clean the probe with sandpaper and reinstall or replace the sensor with new. Cleaning the sensor usually works but there is no telling how long it will last. I always keep one of these parts on hand as a spare. This replacement sensor appears to be the same quality as OEM for a significantly lower price. The sensor installs and works just as the original. This sensor works with many different brands and models of furnaces but carries an OEM part# 62-23543-01. I give this replacement sensor 5 stars for quality and value.

Such an easy repair and saved me so much money. My flame sensor has been barely hanging on every season and it would be a simple but temporary fix of cleaning the sensor with steel wool. I decided to pick this up to avoid a more costly repair in the future.
