I purchased this as the OEM replacement part is widely unavailable. The construction is good... the plastic chute seems at least as sturdy as OEMand the metal hinge bracket (the failure point of OEM) is also strong. However, there are a couple items that could use improvement:1) The chute itself doesn't fit the fabricated LT50 deck perfectly and will not lower as far as the OEM chute. If desired, this can be addressed pretty easily by trimming a very small area where it curves to conform to a stamped deck (with radiused edges -- the fabricated decks have sharp corners). This is probably only an issue (and a minor one) for the LT50 fabricated deck; should be absolutely fine for the stamped decks.2) There are no retention clips or anything to prevent the hinge pin from sliding out of place. The OEM unit has push-on retainers to prevent this from happening. This happened to our assembly during mowing, but it was caught before any damage was done... if not caught, the metal hinge bracket could be damaged as the chute would then twist and flex around the one remaining hinge point.All said, if it weren't for the lack of retainers on the hinge pin, I'd give this 5 stars. Construction is at least as good as OEM, and it includes a replacement nut and bolt.
