I bought to replace my turbo boost in my Chevy Cruz. The price was lower that the auto stores around in my area. The mechanic had no issues with the part and I haven't had any issues with the turbo boost since it was replaced,

Failed after 11 months of use. They trick you with dorman part number, but it is not dorman. Dorman has a 3 year warranty. It's garbage.SELLER will NOT contact you back. Automated OUT OF OFFICE message on every attempt. AMAZON, REMOVE THIS SELLER.The failure was that the turbo cracked at the waste gate, just like the factory garett turbos do.

Few things you should know if you attempt this on your own. Make sure you get another oil return pipe and exhaust manifold nuts. The nuts are like $8 a piece from the dealer and you will need 8. Order ahead of time from Amazon because the repair manual says not to reuse. The oil return pipe on your car may break so be prepared by getting it ahead of time. That pipe may be the hardest thing to get off. It’s easier to move the clip and slide the pipe from out of the oil pan instead of trying to unscrew. So far so good! We now have turbo again. As you can see from the picture, the housing was cracked, and the arm did not open and close as it should. It was actually stuck when I checked it after removing the turbo. The new turbo has a spring feel for opening and closing the wastegate as it should.

Exact fit for a 2011 Chevy Cruze LTZ. The package includes a small bottle of oil used to oil the shaft during first start up. It is a small plastic bottle tossed into the box. Mine arrived smashed with the box and all of the contents soaked in oil. It was impossible to fully clean the turbo and ended up smoking a decent bit on first start up.You probably shouldn't use it anyway, disabling the fuel and ignition systems and using the starter motor to charge the turbo with oil is a better option. If you do order this, absolutely get a new oil return line. There is a decent chance the turbo failed due to sludge accumulation or it will break to removal. In the event the return line isn't needed it can be returned.I installed this yesterday and ran about 100 miles on it. I'll update this review if the unit does not hold up.

Bought for my 2018 chevy trax. Factory turbo bit the dust at 85k miles. Just got this new one installed as of yesterday. However car seems to be doing well. To explain my old tubo would work in city however during highway conditions or under load the turbo would begin to seize. When this started to happen I noticed an increase power during city speeds and a reduction of power on highway. After replacing the charged air cooler like dealership advised it still didn't correct and car was getting an underboost condition. However right after installation of this turbo the check engine light for underfoot went away and correct power for both city and highway was observed. Compared to the factory oem turbo this was a near identical part. I am hopeful that this will hold up. If I have any issues as of recent installation will update with more feedback. Update: oct 29 2020, drove to Oklahoma and back to Oregon. Had no problems since install. I have filled a small trailer and still no problems already have put 12k miles on this turbo and it seems to be holding up.

I was skeptical to begin with about buying aftermarket ... I figured I would take a chance considering the stock turbo failed at 75k.... if that’s all I can expect from a car we bought brand new, I figured I didn’t have a lot to really risk. So I purchased this and installed it myself. I have had it on the car for a few months now and it seems to be holding up fine. I have traveled out of state a few times and this is a daily driver . All the codes and check engine lights are off. The car has good power and performs nicely. I did purchase the oil feed line at the same time. I am glad that I did some research, as my original line was clogged and wasn’t supplying oil to the turbo. So if you have a turbo that needs to be replaced this may be a good option for you .
