The lens cap fits perfectly on my Nikon Coolpix P900. After reading other reviews about the adhesive attachment doesn't work, I'm not going to try it. But, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to attach the string tether to the lens cap. Some people mentioned a hole, but I sure don't see a hole that I can put the string through. This aspect is aggravating.

I don't know why Nikon doesn't provide the string to attach to camera on the original camera. I attached this lens cap with string, don't have to worry now about losing the cap.

I lost my Nikon P900 lens cap and was irritated about it but it was honestly a blessing in disguise. The lens cap that comes with the camera lacks any sort of hole or string for attachment purposes, making it easy to lose. This one is great; easy to attach, fits perfectly, and I won't be losing my lens cap so easily again.
