These speed shapes are just plain fun - glad I found them. Rattle can painted the bronze color to go on my 1972 Chevy C10 to test. From left to right over light Grey primer - Red primer - Black primer. And lastly a metallic black spray out too.

A really nice way to show customers their paint choice on the curves and how it catches the light. Will keep buying these.

Paint chips only go so far. Yeah they flex and bend and are great and all, but nothing shows off a metallic or pearl like a Speed Shape! These work great for hanging in the showroom to show potential clients what can be done. They aren't huge, which is great but they are plenty big to show off detail and the hangers are a really nice touch which aren't included on all of them. The plastic was smooth and paint laid out great on these! Highly recommend.

These are very smooth and sturdy plastic forms. I like how thick the plastic is, they don’t feel cheap like some others I have used. I sprayed automotive tri-coat on these and everything worked well.

I've been airbrushing for a couple of years now and spent this year experimenting with different paints, from common airbrush go-to's to expensive craft paint to cheap paint, as well as mixing different paint types.I started logging paint brands, types and mixtures that I found worked well and produced good and/or unique results, but I found that I'd look up my log and wonder why old entries were there. I just paint as a hobby, but am getting a lot of encouragement to do it as a side hustle. I looked for an abstract object that would serve as a good display piece and found these, as well as speed shapes in white from another vendor. These black shapes are awesome for showcasing metallics, some pearls and special effects airbrush paints (i.e. chrome, aluminum, etc.). I've sprayed a few of these shapes and am going to stick a label to their undersides designating the paint type/brand/mixture I sprayed onto each, and snap photos and possibly record a short video for each. Now I'll be able have a good, detailed log!I want to note that straight from the bag, these shapes are not perfect. I've opened one that had a couple of tiny but very deep scratches, and all of them have scuffing marks on them. If you're going to use these in a professional setting, then sanding, priming and such will be necessary. For my hobby needs though, they're fine and I can say all the water based acrylic paints I've sprayed on the few samples so far have stuck to these shapes just fine with no pre-paint processing.
