These arrived in a small ziplock bag. One of the abalone dots had already fallen off, which I didn't discover until I had installed the pins in my guitar. Luckily I had not thrown away the plastic bag as there it was. A little super glue was all it took for a fix, but be forewarned. The pins are actually pretty low-key in appearance. The abalone is not highly polished and feels a bit rough on the surface on some dots. The brass is bright enough but not flashy. Suits my guitar without looking like I am trying for a lot of bling. For the price I am happy. I just wanted to try brass pins without spending $90. As a Celtic guitar rhythm player I wanted pins that were flat on top so I could use the base of my hand to mute across the bridge on some strums, which is painful with my pevious knobby pins. Quality control, as far as consistency of fit in the holes, is good. ALl the pins are level and even. I'd buy them again. Just be prepared to have to reglue the abalone dots back in.

Seem well made. They are a little narrow, so they don't work in all my guitars, however they DO fit in the intended instrument.
