This is an ok product, too much force on the handle is needed to use the no rake side. I’m not strong I thought it would work better, maybe if that side was sharp or thinner.

After serious neglect of the beds in my yard, they became overgrown and filled with weeds (terrible grasses, nutsedge, sunflowers, etc...). South Texas heat-surviving-awful-weeds... I had them professionally cleaned out, but that's when the maintenance was left up to me... I don't like to use chemical weed killer and really searched for a way to keep my beds cleaned out. I'm 60 and I can still work it hard, but it has to be smart. I first bought a 5 inch action hoe and saw the concept was exactly what I needed. I found this one with a 9' loop with a rake and it is, by far, my favorite tool. Once you make one good pass through, it's easy to go back through. I'm on week three in the process and with diligence, my beds have never looked better. My vegetable gardening days are behind me, but I wish I had this tool back in the day. It is true it only cuts the weeds below the surface, but after about 10 days, the weed growth dropped dramatically and it requires less and less work. If you flip the loop over, it will push your mulch and soil around evenly very nicely - just an extra benefit I discovered. I will say this does not get in pointed corners nor does it get the weeds right close along my irregular pavers. I also wish it came with a wooden handle, but I'm old school. I very, very highly recommend.

It works great but I should have bought 2 so I can make one that's longer for anyone over 5 foot 5.

Incredibly useless and doesn't work. The rake teeth are too wide to catch and the angle on the other side is off. Just useless.
