The 1/4-20 screw on the top of the stand broke off the first time I used it. With that said, if you need a CHEAP stand that you will only use a few times this will do. I bought this to mount a laser level to and now I am going to have to spend another 15 bucks to get an adapter to mount to the stand and give me a new 1/4-20 mount. The MOST this thing would hold is a camera flash or MAYBE a tota light. No way you could put anything heavier than that on it. Probably wouldn't hold up more than a few uses in any kind of professional photo/video set.

Basic good tripod stand. GREAT price for a two pack. Top has straight 1/4 inch male connection. If you need angles and/or rotation you will need to buy additional ball fitting that have female 1/4 inch connection.Folds up just fine.

I love this stand!! It's tall like me and it's STRONG. Not cheaply made at all. Love it!

This 7 foot tripod is sturdier than it looks. It's more than good enough for a laser level. It's actually even good enough to hold my dremel with a flex shaft on it. The center of gravity is lower than you think. It would be much easier to knock this over than a real tripod but it's good enough for me.The legs are not individually adjustable so the ground has to be flat for this tripod to work. The screws seem like a moron could easily over tighten them and crack something. But a smart person should have no problems. They lock and unlock very easily. There's no screws going into plastic. They all have embedded nuts.I definitely would not throw this tripod on the ground... I wouldn't even drop it from waist height. Not even onto carpet. Mainly because of the thumb screws and the plastic pieces they screw into. I wouldn't be comfortable throwing this thing around anywhere. It's not that tough but like I said it works great and should last for years of you take care of it.It comes with no kind of head so you could buy a little ball head for it.Anyways... Works great for a laser level. I like it. Thanks.

I needed an inexpensive light stand, and this is one. The legs don't operate especially smoothly, but it's decently sturdy. It'll do.

I had to retrofit my stands to work for my concert lighting. They work wonderful! They are cheap, sturdy, and fold up SO SMALL! Not the most sturdy but still good enough for my Swarm as you can see.

I am using your laser level and it works perfectly. Can't get better than this for the same price. Don't get me wrong, it is not a solid build, but it works very well. Don't expect durability it your application is rough work like a construction jobsite
