These are exactly the things you need to quickly fix all the wobbly handles in your life. Most of the other fix it things of this sort are just little wedges you drive into the end of a loosened shaft. But these gems are little circles that do two things at once: force out the sides of the shaft a bit so it fits more snuggly AND don't split the shaft itself so that it wants to break in the future. If anything, the circles sort of hold the wood together more. These are easy to insert and do a great job with slightly wobbly handles of all sorts. And these come as an assortment so you can use them on lots of different shaft diameters.

I have never used round wedges before, so this was a first. In my use-case, the handle did not extend all the way up to the top of the sledge head (there used to be epoxy on the top that did not hold). This meant that I could only drive the wedge a little over half way in, and not flush with the top of the handle wood. It still worked just fine, with no perceptible slipping of the handle throughout a good deal of use. The wedge pictured is the middle size on a small hand sledge. Of the ones in the kit, the small would probably only be useful for a standard hammer or hatchet, and the large would probably work on a full sized axe or sledge. Definitely recommend.

Very ugly, poorly extruded? Cast? MIM? I really can't tell what process was used to make these. Leading (sharp) edges were banged up, dull, dented, folded over at points, and jjust generally mangled upon receipt to the point I'm not sure if I'll be able to get these started into hickory without a hydraulic press. Overall, too ugly for me to even think about using them when rehanging handles on my good Swedish axe heads, but I'm sure one of the little ones might prove helpful in snugging up a beater handle on a garage sale ball pein hammer or the like. Since I got 7 of them in different sizes for $3.69 during one of Amazon's recent spring break sales, I have to give them 3 stars for savings value. However, I'll be looking for something else - or borrowing time on a lathe to make my own - when it comes time to rehang one of my Hults Bruk or Hultafors axes.
