For the price, this is a great little kit of crimps and heat shrink. These are items that I'm constantly needing around my garage. It's nice to have them organized in a handy container. The crimps are of good quality and the heat shrink seems to shrink snug as it should.I think that this is a good value.

I went to use an extension cord and noticed it had a bad cut in it, I don't know when or how it even happened, but it needed to be fixed, so I got this splice kit, and used it to repair the extension cord. Note that you MUST have a proper crimper to use this... it must be a crimper for NON-Insulated terminals, and no, you can't just squish them with some pliers... it won't make a strong enough mechanical connection. The AWG sizes are not correct on the inside of the box, I was repairing 12Ga wire and what they had listed for 12Ga was WAY too big, I needed the one labeled BN2 16-14.This set is of limited usefulness because while I do work with larger wire gauges, they are unlikely to ever need to be repaired, because they are all in conduit, but 16, 14, and 12Ga are very common for electrical cords, and that's what anyone is most likely to need a set like this for, so I think it would be a much better set if it had BN1, BN2, and maybe BN3 in higher quantities and leave out everything larger. My extension cord repair did go very well, I stripped back the outer insulation quite a bit so I could stagger the joints, and then I used the correct non-insulated portion of my crimpers, and it made a very secure mechanical and electrical connection, I then used the included heat shrink tubing to insulate the conductors from each other. I used some large heat shrink over the entire repair (not included) to keep it all together. It came out really well and the extension cord it working well now.

For $13, this is a great kit. It doesn't include a lot of connectors, but you do get 2-10 connectors of different sizes plus shrink tubing. The product is easy to use and comes in a nice container for storage and keeping everything sorted. While there were a few things I wish were different (more shrink wrap sizes for instance), it's a very good deal at the price so no complaints.

Heat shrink -- the lost art of caring about a beautiful connection. It's so nice to have these around. I love a good solder and tape, but this always looks so much better. No problem with the quality, and the selection matches the description.

I ordered this 100-piece non-insulated butt connectors for a breaker panel replacement project. Whoever installed or modified the previous panel left numerous wires connected with wire nuts only. Evidently, the wires were too short to connect to the breaker of the neutral/ground bar, so they made short little jumps. A much better way to make jumpers is with these butt connector and heat shrink tubing. What I most appreciate about this set is the variety of connector sizes. The most common sizes for residential wiring are 14-12, 12-10, 8, and 6 American Wire Gauge (AWG).For installation, I crimp and solder with resin-core solder for the best possible connection. Installing heat shrink tubing ensures that the connection is appropriately insulated.Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. The only slight downside is I need white heat shrink tubing when splicing neutral leads, and the heat shrink tubing supplied with this product is all black. I ordered some white heat shrink tubing separately for those situations.Special Safety Note:These butt connectors should not be used with aluminum wire due to a process called galvanic corrosion, where the aluminum corrodes faster due to its higher reactivity, leading to a potential fire hazard if not correctly connected with specialized connectors because of the increased resistance at the joint caused by the corrosion and heat buildup; essentially, directly connecting aluminum and copper wires without proper mitigation is not recommended due to safety concerns.

This set of butt connectors worked perfectly for a quick repair on my son's toy riding car, where two wires had snapped and rendered it unusable. The connectors made it easy to securely rejoin the wires without any hassle. What really stood out was the variety of sizes included, which covered a range of wire gauges and made it easy to find the right fit for the job. The inclusion of heat shrink tubing was also a nice touch and it responded well to a heat gun and provided a tight, protective seal around the connections. The overall quality of both the connectors and the shrink tubing feels dependable. For the range of options and how well everything works together, this set offers excellent value and has proven to be a useful addition for small repairs and DIY tasks.

They work well but the gauge sizing seems to run a little small. I use them to mechanically crimp wires then I add solder to the joint for a secure mechanical and electrical connection.

They are ideal for reliable connections and can handle high currents. I find them affordable and well-made. I have used them in my junction box for my solar array, which sometimes gets really hot. I definitely recommend these insulated in-line union connectors.
