The last time I needed to use name labels was when I was at school, but at least I knew this was something your could order.I volunteer for a cat rescue organization and a lot of what they do is Trap-Neuter-Return. The cats are in humane traps for transportation and surgery, and to help keep the cats calm, it is standard practice to put some sort of cloth cover over the trap.I noticed the material used to cover traps came in all shapes and sizes; some were too big and draped on the ground and some were too small and didn't provide much coverage. I've been sewing trap covers so they at least fit, and then thought it would be nice if the covers for Chele's Cat Care were easily distinguishable. When you pick up cats after surgery, it can be difficult to spot your traps, and disturbing a cat who's just had surgery is a little unkind.I started by choosing a color, green, so we at least had a starting point. Then I thought it would be nice if the trap covers had some kind of labeling. Chele's Cat Care is a class act, and we want that to be obvious to anyone dealing with us. I decided to try labels, and these had everything I needed. I could choose the wording, font and color, and when I saw the little graphic of a cat, that sealed the deal.I thought the price was very reasonable for beautifully embroidered name tags and the number for the price was more than I will likely use. Hope I didn't speak too soon. Delivery was fast and exactly as ordered. I would definitely use them again.

Very excellent quality, and excellent value, however, this is a small mom-and-pop manufacturer, and it took a little while to get to us. It is really great if you can stand the wait for delivery

I made a mistake and included my maiden name between my first and last name. Big Mistake! It made the label impractical and too long.I will reorder. Wish the labels came in black with red weaving like the British ones l ordered when l lived in Bermuda. Those were Great!Cassandra Webster Smith

I have ordered other labels where they say your name is sewn through the satin label fabric, but it is only visible on the front. Not so with these labels! You can see the weaving or stitching through the back. There will not be any fading! In fact there hasn’t been any problem with these in around the two years they’ve been in place. They go through the wash each week- no issues whatsoever! I really like the sew on labels because they can be used to hang the clothes from hooks. Also the iron on type labels often start to loosen over time. I’m still so upset that my order from another seller where they say it’s sewn into the label came and was not what it was supposed to be. This is exactly what I expected. So glad they are still selling these!

I have bought three sets of labels for my three kids who are in kindergarten and preschool. They are really great! I have both hand sewed them or machine sewed them on many things, and they've all stayed put despite my kids being rough on things. I love that you can add little icons so even if they aren't reading age yet they know their item has the racecar, or whatever you pick. When I cut them I do melt the edges with a lighter as an added protection to prevent unraveling. Some labels have been attached to my kids clothes for over a year now and still looking great!

I dislike the fact that when you cut one of the name labels both ends fray immediately making it difficult to pin it on the garment. You have to really tuck in both ends quite a bit before you pin it in place to sew it. I dislike the italic font because it is so squished you can hardly read the name. I should have picked a plain font. The labels are durable and wash well.

So, we've been through it all - mostly writing on clothes with a fabric pen. That fades of course. Heat transfer labels are scratchy and warp the fabric or warp with it over time. Clothes are constantly getting lost and it's not uncommon for residents to pick at things or to ferret clothing of another resident. Plus, you have to factor in heavy washing from toileting accidents. These are so tiny and simply too narrow really to even sew with a machine. Hand sewing isn't bad. Being polyester, they're quite scratchy. Scratchy increases likelihood of unwanted undressing. The woven name itself looks quite thread bare. The ends arrive frayed but that's to be expected. Use sewing scissors (they're sharper) and trim edges, then use wooden matches to carefully and lightly singe the ends. Easier to control than the flame of a lighter. You cannot, as many have suggested, just sew on either side and call it a day in our situation as it won't last. I finally decided to use double-sided fabric tape to iron the labels on the outside of the back collar. You want to preserve their dignity... but we've had to replace so much clothing it's expensive and exhausting. Other ideas to consider:Custom twill tape folded in half and sewn into the collar. Easy for housekeeping to see and comfortable on neck. You'll have to go to Etsy. Not available here. Bleach pens, fabric pens, Beddazzling, tye-dye, making wardrobe color themed, using iron on initials or patches to outside hem of clothes, etc... We're treated quite well during outings - people seem to understand - that matters more than the clothes. So if there's a way to make your loved one's clothing stand out more from the rest in a large facility, do it. These labels are a tiny temporary solution to an ongoing problem.
