Directly upon opening the box I had significant reservations. The unit was in a large ziplock bag and not at all as clean as I would expect it to be. There was also cosmetic damage to the speed sensor on the conductor plate. Two of the little black fingers that cover the flat contacts where broken. That has to function but it was not a good sign. I am almost convinced the entire unit is simply taken off a junk yard transmission and resold as is. Installed it anyway and as expected, it did not work. Shifted from 1st through to 3rd and then started making the ECU cut throttle. Also never went into 4th or 5th. Totally different symptoms than the faulty valve body/ conductor plate removed from the car. At least the existing one was still drivable. Just could not drive "spirited" because shifts would not happen correctly, but at least still did happen perfectly while driving "nice". This Amazon VB and conductor plate threw a codeGear comparison is sporadically negative or target gear has sporadically not been achieved.Review after getting second unit - Junk - literally. I now know without question that these are simply removed from cars at a junk yard. They are not refurbished or rebuilt and everything on them is old. They also clearly do not remove and package them in a clean environment. There was quite literally dirt and debris on both of the units I received. And of course both of them were no good.I would up fixing the issue with a brand new replacement conductor plate. So, this proves that both of these units were worn and faulty. Huge waste of my time.The listing does not say they are new, but it also does not say they are used units simply pulled from a 25 year old car, which would be the case for these.
