I have a lot of Woodhaven product and have always been impressed by their accuracy and flexibility. But to my surprise, not this one. I have a Delta 14" and this mounted easily with existing holes in the table. It well made with a large amount of adjustments that can be many for almost any situation. Unfortunately it's almost impossible get it parallel to the blade for resawing only once for multiple widths. It has to be carefully set up separately for each width because it doesn't stay parallel to the blade when you move the the fence along the two tracks. I'm past the return date unfortunately and I'm not going to struggle with this each time I need to change the setup. So, I'm going to try a brand until I find one that works. I hope such a product exists. This one doesn't work.

I bought this fence for a 14 in jet SFX and the fence does not bolt up like every other fence on the market i wouldve had to drill holes in the side of the table in which i was not going to do..but overall the fence seemed to built really well but unfortunately i couldnt mount it and try it..

This review is going to sound like I own Woodhaven. I wish I did! I struggled with the factory fence that came with my Jet 14" bandsaw for years. But as I was a beginner, I never realized how valuable a fence could be. When my skills (and expectations!) improved, the factory fence drove me nuts: difficult to adjust, hopelessly out of square, etc. In shopping for a new one, I could not find a product that was not accompanied by mediocre reviews, until I came to the Woodhaven site. It was more expensive, but I could tell from the pictures and description that it would be well worth the cost differential. I have not seen such a well manufactured (and thought out) product since before power tool manufacturing moved to Taiwan. Worth every penny and more!Briefly: Assembly simple. Fit to table: Perfect. Adjustments for blade drift: excellent. Adjustment for vertical square: excellent

This band saw fence was a little expensive but the design and construction are first rate. Assembly instructions are well-written, it was very simple to set up and use, and adjust-ability features are superb. The only assembly issue I had was that my older Craftsman saw table was drilled and tapped for 1/4-20 screws to mount the brackets to the table and the installation hardware included 3 other different screw sizes (1/4-28x1", plus two metric sizes). But this is really a minor issue. For years I have used a 2x4 clamped to the saw table as a rip fence and this device is so much better in many ways. I chose this design because I often have to rip long pieces (6' or more) of tough hardwood and wanted a fence that was rigidly supported on both ends, rather than one of the single clamp designs on the market. In summary, I feel that this is an excellent accessory for any band saw and well worth the cost. Highly recommended!

I bought this for my Jet Pro 14 and have had no complaints about what I could not do with it. The double track system offers me exceptional versatility in configuring my own jigs. It provides rock solid support for custom jigs I've made for the saw. It also allows my jigs to adjust variably to and from the blade using the rails as a slide mechanism. The rails attach using four lever locks that pass through the supports into a nut placed within the rail tracks. These supports that screw into the table of the saw are made from a phenolic plastic which is slippery yet very, very strong. I initially had reservations about the idea of 'plastic' for such parts. That has long since dissipated. They have proven their strength. The fence itself is made from very hefty extruded aluminum. The fence has the ability to tip forward using two screws to fine tune your 90 degrees to the table. The supports for the vertical portion of the fence also attach using thick aluminum angle brackets to phenolic slides that run on the horizontal aluminum rails. They have grooves cut into the phenolic that allow for accurate placement on the rails. Having two lock down points for the fence may require a little more set-up time but it is worth it to me for total, custom accuracy. That may be its biggest drawback. Although, once the fence is square to the blade, only locking and unlocking the four levers that hold the rails is enough to move the fence back and forth while maintaining accuracy. The product is made in Iowa and it arrives very nicely packaged. Each bolt assembly in its own separate bag. The instructions are easy enough to follow but you probably won't need them to assemble this simple system. The whole unit looks as if it was hand built. However, don't let that fool you. The fence pieces all have a laser-like (CNC) accuracy to them and the resulting system mounted properly to your saw will prove it. I'm not sure why I only gave it 4 stars. I do love using this fence. Yet, nothing is perfect as you likely know. I can't imagine using any other fence. If I was to make my own fence (which I certainly thought about), it would look much like this one.

It's always nice when a manufacturer wonders, "How could I make this better?" rather than, "What can I get away with?" This unit has a few plastic parts, but they doesn't detract. The rest is well made aluminum and steel. There may be similar designs with more industrial construction, for a lot more money, but I didn't find any. The system is totally adequate for a professional shop, and probably for a reasonably high-production shop. The front-and-back rails are essential, I think. I can't see why the fence aligns so accurately, but it does. The adjustment for compensating for blade lead is simple. The instructions are clearly written, and well illustrated - and that's not so common nowadays. The packaging is strong and refreshingly un-slick. The Woodhaven 7280 deserves five stars for delivering on its promise. My present needs are occasional, but I'm quite familiar with production shops.)
