Its good if you only want to recieve transmission otherwise its useless for transmitting on yourself. As soon as you key up the radio turns off, I have 4 UV-82s and each one powered off when I hit the PTT button.

Very poorly constructed. Was in pieces with the electronics exposed. Resoldered a broken wire and superglued the plastic case together and now it's fine. Annoying to need to essentially build this from a pile of parts. Try another cheap adapter. It does work though if you want to risk this part.
