While this isn't sold for a Kohler lawnmower engine, it is the exact pull starter that's found on a large variety of lawn mowers, except for one small difference: the mounting holes are smaller than the ones on my Kohler engine, so to make it fit, I had to drill out the existing holes with a larger drill bit. It then fit exactly like the original!After we got it mounted and secured, a quick pull on the rope and we were back in business!This is an inexpensive way to fix a mower with a broken pull-rope. I did notice that the metal it is made from is slightly thinner than the original, but it still works the same as the original.In the mean time, I will install a new rope on the old pull starter, and keep it until it's needed to replace this one.Good price on an adequate lawn mower pull rope starter.

Fit perfectly on my MTD Yard Machine push mower. When the old one broke and i took it off and the recoil spring went everywhere, tried to recoil it with the grease all over me I was at the end of my rope (literally LOL). For $15 I slapped the new assembly in and saved $300 from not buying a new mower. Now I can mow all day long. I can listen to Mow-town while I mow. I hope it still works tomowow.
