Purchased this due to debris and sediments from the pipes carried from city water. The filter does a decent job in filtering out larger particles, like sand, and iron dust, from entering the toilet fill valve, preventing clocking up inside the valve which can be a time-consuming (or costly) repair.

I purchased these screens in an attempt to prevent small stones and grit from ruining my toilet fill valves that are common with well water. I’m happy to report they worked wonderfully. I haven’t replaced a fill valve since I installed these on the water supply line. I would highly recommend this inexpensive product if you have a well and experience premature fill valve failures.

I installed this today and it leaked so bad. I tried to tighten some more and it broke off causing a water flood around my toilet. It was such a mess. I regretted purchasing this. If they made a brass version, it would be so much better. I wanted to have a filter before it goes to my toilet tank and before it goes to my bidet sprayer. Now I have no filter because it caused a lot of problems with leaks.

I recently replaced an older Toto washlet with a newer model. Surprisingly, while the old Toto washlet had a filter screen to trap sediment from the water line, the new one does not. So, I purchased this. It is a very easy install. It has a decent size filter. The screen is the right size. It will eliminate sediment, but it is not so fine that it will clog easily. I actually installed this on the inlet water line so that both the toilet and washlet water will be filtered. I am guessing that cleaning it about once a year will be about right.
