Here are some tips for successful baking and cooking with our silicone molds:

  • Before using the molds for the first time, wash them thoroughly with warm soap and water.
  • Always follow the manufacturer's maximum heat ratings and do not exceed them.
  • Allow the food to cool before removing it from the mold and use hot pads to protect your hands.
  • For added stability, use a cookie sheet underneath even for smaller molds.
  • When filling the molds, place them on a metal muffin tin or baking sheet for stability during baking.
  • Avoid using sharp tools or knives to remove the food from the molds, as they may damage the silicone.
  • Never use our molds on an open flame or stovetop burners.

I bought this to make vegan deviled eggs and it's absolutely perfect for the job. The cavities are a bit deeper than a perfect half of a standard egg, but that's actually advantageous. That means you can under-fill each indentation so there's no risk of it splashing out, and still get that ideal half egg shape. 1 cup of liquid is the exact amount it takes to fill one tray of 8 cavities; 2 cups if you want to use both at once. It's super flexible so it's easy to get even delicately gelled "egg" whites out without tearing. No complaints!

Worked fine to mold fake boiled eggs with Panna Cotta whites and Passion Fruit curd yolks. I had to freeze them to be able to remove them without damage.The silicone molds are too soft and floppy for molding hollow tempered chocolate eggs.

I ordered this to make hollow chocolate eggs for a new recipe for Easter. The egg halves came out incredibly well, and turning them out of the silicone was a breeze. My only “complaint” is that I am going to have to trim the egg halves significantly to make them look like an actual egg. If I left them as is they would be very strange looking! But overall I am happy with my purchase.Update: In order to make whole eggs I would have to trim off a significant amount of each one, which is no easy task with fragile hollow shells. So they are really no good for making anything egg shaped unless you are doing egg halves, like the faux deviled egg pics. Unfortunately I am going to have to make egg halves filled with mousse instead of whole eggs, which will be way less impressive looking!

Absolutely PERFECT. They are the perfect size for something that looks like a regular chicken egg. I ordered these molds for an event where I made panna cotta "eggs" and I needed it to be the size of a real egg to mimic a deviled egg. The mold worked perfectly for my needs and looked the exact size of a real egg. I have used delicate foods like jello and panna cotta in these molds and had no issues with them at all. I would, however, recommend spraying the molds with a pan coating spray or cooking oil prior to pouring in jello or panna cotta or something equally as delicate because when the mold is perfectly dry it is a bit hard to get the "egg" out without it ripping or cracking the jello. If you use a cooking spray first the jello "egg" will slide right out when you tip it to the side.I have also used this mold for Easter with tempered chocolate and it worked just as easy. If you are going to use the mold with something that hardens like chocolate or hard candy definitely leave the mold dry and don't use any sprays or coatings inside the mold prior to pouring sugar or chocolate inside. The molds are easily washed and dried - it says they are dishwasher safe, but I hand washed mine just to be on the safe side. Even with hand washing they are super easy to clean and dry. I would recommend drying them with paper towels instead of cloth because cloth towels sometimes leave little bits of material on the molds since they are silicone.Overall I would highly recommend these molds for candy, chocolate, jello, ice, and more!
