The slit in the middle does not go deep enough and puts the cable in a bind. Once I drilled it out they worked great

The first image shows that the slot for the cable is not deep enough. It is off center. It causes the cable to be pinched when fully inserted. (first pic). You can see the deflection from being pinched. If you happen to have a lathe and a good drill you can fix it by center tapping and drilling a hole down the center (second pic).

Hardest thing is to remove cables easy to install after getting cables out and work great factory should be installing them instead of the plastic ones

Very easy to fix an inoperative rear door on a Ford F150. The original plastic piece easily breaks and you can't open your door. These will replace the plastic ones and will probably outlast the truck. Several videos on Youtube walk you through the process.
