The "pencil shaver" is great after installing a new tip. I rough cut to size and then use this to get perfect roundness. The shaper is nice but the shape of the tool does not make it ideal when using. The shaper is off center and holding the rectangular block is a little awkward. It works, but if you just need a shaper get one of those. If you want an overall tool to sue when installing a new tip this is great. This tip is a bullet proof medium shapped with the tool and cut down from 14mm to about 12.5 using a rough cut and the shaver.
