It helps when storage space is critical. Works great for an emergency situation. It's the most common sizes used. I wouldn't trust it for high torque applications, but it does help when you need it.

I put this in my car as it is like a whole socket wrench kit in one. I have to adjust my wiper arms sometimes so I have a ring spanner in the door well. With this tool I can pull off bits to get to headlight bulb replacements, tighten brackets - you name it, all with one tool. Goodbye ring spanner.I have this in that same position in the door well and it has a comfortable heft to it. It will be my first line of defense if ever required. I will loosen any attackers nuts with this...

I didn't know this kind of multi-size ratchet wrench existed design existed, perhaps it is a fairly new concept and little by little we will be seeing more of this design.I will still be using my 40 year old, Craftsman socket set and other, various ratchet sets, but it is nice to have this all in one, 8 size, all in one ratchet. The design is pretty simple, each ratchet opening has two different sizes, one inserted into the other. If the nut or bolt you are attacking it the smaller size it will fit into the first smaller cup. If you are targeting the larger cup below it the smaller one will slide in with resistance provided by an internal spring and the nut will insert into the bigger one. It works rather nicely, provided you take a little care of placement: nothing works flawlessly without a little perseverance and common sense. The build quality and surface finish is outstanding and at this price point it is very reasonable. We all know how expensive name brand tools are and this wrench system is worth every penny. This is a nice additional to my tool arsenal and I am pretty sure it will be for you too, I highly recommend it.

The HUKUMI 8 in 1 Ratcheting Wrench is heavy-duty and long enough to provide plenty of torque to tighten nuts and bolts. The teeth feel secure enough and the springs that allow the variety of eight wrench sizes in one tool, operate smoothly and collapse into the larger wrench, as needed, with little effort. As a result, you are not going to be fighting the springs, which of course would be a pain. When tightening a nut on a long bolt, the HAKUMI ratched allows the extra length of the bolt to pass through, effectively acting like a deep socket. The tool is relatively heavy, but the trade-off compared to having to carry 8 different sockets (more if you also need deep sockets) and a ratchet, makes a very good solution that will take up a smaller footprint in your toolbox or bag. As far as SAE sizes, they will fit but loosely and I would be very careful placing any torque on them as they may strip. For Metric, the fit is solidly tight.

This is a nice solid wrench and works great. It is metric (8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 21mm) and not standard (SAE). While some of the metric tolerances are close to standard sizes and will work in some cases you will risk rounding out your nut or bolt depending on the torque and type of metal you are tightening or loosening. Best practice is to always use metric for metric and standard for standard nuts and bolts. They are making false claims of true compatibility with standard sizes and you should use at your own risk. 2 Stars for false advertising and pushing as standard.

I would LOVE to give this 5 stars. It's a versatile wrench with a great design. The open end lets you tighten nuts even on long bolts. It works easily, performance is just great.Unfortunately, it is metric-only, not standard, and it was standard that we needed. A lot of products made in Asia are (understandably) metric, but standard is still around in the US, so it's more than disappointing when the product listing explictly says it supports standard and doesn't. (It says, "8 Sizes in One】:Each end has a forward/reverse switch that can be released quickly to change the ratchet direction of rotation for easy operation. The socket section has a two-layer structure, providing compatibility with 8 sizes: 5/16" 3/8" 7/16" 1/2" 9/16" 5/8" 11/16" 3/4".Fit perfectly on corresponding nuts and bolts without slop and slippage."I can sometimes use it and get away with a bolt not-quite-fitting but still able to turn, or use it on the occasional metric nut/bolt I need. But it's much less useful than I'd hoped, and for that reason I gave it 1 star. If the manufacturer updates the listing (or, better still, stars also producing the identical wrench for standard), I'll be happy to give this 5 stars. As it is, though, not recommended.
