I decided to be a little bit creative and to test these in my baby's diaper pail. I placed one whole filter inside the canister compartment, and then I cut another one in half to fit underneath the lid (which I taped in place). Wow. I am not getting knocked out by the odor anymore every time I have to open the lid to toss in another diaper. The carbon filters seem to be helping! (I do also deep clean the pail periodically and set it outside to air out and bask in the sun from time to time). For the price, I think it's a fair deal. I had looked into trash can odor absorbers, and they seemed much more expensive. I also don't like anything with strong scents or fragrances, so I was focused on finding something to help absorb and neutralize the odor, rather than just mask it. This seems to fit the bill! They are easy to cut and customize, so it wouldn't necessarily matter which shape you ordered.I do also have a cat litter box, by the way, and I feel like these are effective for that as well....I just wanted to share my other idea in case it is helpful to any mamas out there!
