Hands down the best tile drills, last very well and go through even the hardest tiles. I have the full set and do replace the most used ones from time to time but so much better than others I’ve used. The cheaper ones just wear out after one or two holes these are definetly worth a little extra money.comes in a plastic box , the packaging is safe . Got enough amount of diamond coverage.

This review evaluates the “8pc Orange Dry Diamond Drill Bit Set” made by JOERIC.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging. What’s in the box: eight (8) dry diamond drill bits (3/16”, 3/16” ¼”, ¼”, 5/16” 3/8”, ½”, 9/16”), and one (1) hard plastic case.First impressions: The overall quality of bits seems good, there is a generous thick coating of diamond abrasive and a cupped insert of anti-friction lubricant wax in the hollow bit tip. ProTip: for small tile work I use a drill press to hold the bit perfectly vertical. For holes into something cylindrical, I use a “Vee” jig in my drill press to hold my round work. Another key element to a clean, easy-to-cut hole as well as ensuring extended drill bit life, ALWAYS use water or oil to cool the bit. Also, it is essential that you don’t “force” the bit into your work – let the bit do its job by providing even positive pressure. Forcing the bit into the work or using the bit dry will excessively overheat the bit and wear off the abrasive coating.Since I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program, I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. In order to determine drill bit durability and length of life, I intend to monitor this product over the next 12 months. Should anything change over this period, I will update this review accordingly.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am satisfied with the product; it does the job easily and conveniently. Proper care will last quite a few jobs. At a current price of $39.99, I feel that this product is fairly priced for the quality and functionality delivered. In reality, at this price, if you use the kit for one or two jobs it has paid for itself. In summary: the “8pc Orange Dry Diamond Drill Bit Set” made by JOERIC is well made and does the job easily and conveniently at a fair price. I would recommend this product.Pros 👍:✔ Made from good quality materials.✔ Generous amount of abrasive coating.✔ Built-in anti-friction lubricant wax to cool the bit while in use.✔ Comes in a convenient hard plastic case.✔ Fair price point.Cons👎:✘ None.

I use these bits all the time, they work great for drilling into Ceramic tile, Porcelain and Stone. The hex shafts allow me to use by drill or impact however my drill works best. The hex shaft provides better resistance from slipping and greater torque. These bits are covered with crushed diamonds and filled with a was compound to help disperse heat and minimize the bits from clogging up.I always dip my bits periodically in water while drilling to keep them cool and another trick is to put them in the freezer or snow before drilling to allow them to be cold before drilling so they don't heat up as fast. The one thing you don't want to do is overheat these drill bits. When you overheat the bits they become dull quickly, loose the attached diamonds and the wax filler can become gummy. All in All these Joeric Bits are great. They are affordable and each bit should last at least 6-12 holes when used properly without overheating.

Have only used the 1/4" to put some anchors in 60+ yr old concrete, block, and ceramic tile. Worked perfectly. No slipping at initial entry and no hesitation in penetration.

Utilicé dos de las brocas para hacer agujeros en granito y anduvieron muy bien. No puedo hablar aún de durabilidad pero se las ve muy bien luego del uso.

I have only used these a few times and I made the mistake of putting to much force on the first one which wore it out quickly. I asked I pro what I was doing wrong for them to wear out so quickly and he recommended using much less force on the bit to keep it cooler and let it slowly work it's way through the material. That made all the difference. The first bit barely made it through one inch and material and got very hot making it wax melt and then smoke. By using less force, it actually went through the material faster and with much less heat. My second bit cut 10 more holes and looked better than the first bit after 1 hole. Would definitely buy more of these when needed.

Let me start off by saying, the price for the quality is impressive. My husband use to buy similar bits from the big box stores at 20 dollars apiece before taxes. With this set you get 8 for 34 dollars and the quality is just as good. You would use these on marble, granite, glass, ceramic tile. Weird that they don't state they are ok for porcelain tile within the description. But they are, and they cut just great. They have a wax plug in the center too keep them cool while drilling. The wax won't last long, and I am not sure I would trust that to keep them cool anyway. I would recommend constantly dipping them into cool water as you drill, as to not burn out the diamond coating. There is quite a bit of diamond on these, triple the ones you see on Amazon with a chrome colour shank and selling for about a dollar a piece. So, these should drill at least 15 to 20 holes IF KEPT COOL. The other ones typically drill 3 to 4 holes in porcelain tile before they are toast. Remember to always start the bit on an angle so as to get it scored, slowly straighten the bit as you are drilling to get a complete round indentation in the tile before you try and drill it like a regular drill bit into wood. If not, they will walk right off the tile, scoring it as it goes, and essentially ruining the tile. The only drawback to these compared to others my husband has used is, they do not have a cut out on the side of the bit, to clear out the plug, after drilling a hole. My husband solved that problem by drilling out the wax ans pushing a drill bit into the shaft to clear the plug. If you dont you will get the plugs stuck in the shaft rendering the bit pretty much useless. and that is why I removed half a star. Other than that, they are perfect. They also come in a plastic container to keep them from getting lost. My husband has drilled probably over a thousand holes into tile using these diamond style core bits and has stated these are as good as he as ever tried. He has used them on porcelain, marble, ceramic and granite, and they cut well into each, just remember to keep them cool. I hope this helps in your decision making.

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical. As I do-it-yourselfer, I am used to purchasing two bits for drilling into tile or ceramic or marble or porcelain or stone at a big box home improvement store.for the same price as this entire set of bits.1. The storage container is round, flimsy plastic, but it does work.2. I always cover the tile with a piece of tape and mark my drilling locations to keep the bit from jumping around on the tile and I did whenever I drilled holes with this bit.3. Make sure you follow the instructions and drill at an angle to create a hole for your bit to sit in as it continues to drill through the tile.4. Also during the drilling process if you move the drill in small motions the bit will drill through the tile more quickly.5. On the product page, these bits look like nice driver bits but I used my drill because they seemed a bit flimsy for the driver I have. This bit works just as well as any I have ever used. When I finished drilling I did scrub off the bit with a scrub brush and water just because I was curious to see if this would be a bit that I could use repeatedly. The bit looks good and I will be able to use it again I would highly recommend these bits. These are a great addition to our tool set! Easy to use and heavy duty.

I needed to cut a couple of holes in a counter top of marble, so when these became available, I decided to order them. Here is what I found:1. Nice set of hole sizes and the case for them works well. Tight fit, but that makes it easier to bring to a job site without a large bundle.2. You can several holes before the wax runs out if you do not press the bit and over heat it. This is a bit that you start on the edge, on an angle to start cutting a crescent moon. Then, once that is started, you rotate the angle around to keep cutting. LIGHT pressure does a much better job than high pressure as it keeps the bit cooler.3. These are intended to be used where water may be a problem as a coolant. However, if you can use water, you will want to to help keep the work from chipping due to heat.4. These are like any other bit. Use them until they are dull and then replace them or sharpen them. Since there is no way I know of to sharpen these, you just replace them. They are NOT expensive for the work they do. A few dollars each. That is hardly a scratch on a job for billing. Especially the way most contractors charge versus what they pay for an item.I find these to be decent quality for the price and that they work well. When you consider the cost per bit, they are not expensive for the job they do allowing you to work on a area that you cannot use water on.

I thought I would put these JOERIC dry diamond drill bits to the test. I drilled into the back of a highfire porcelain tray first dry with a small bit, then wet. Then tried the largest bit, dry then wet. It was harder to start the drilling using them dry. Holding the drill at an angle to get a groove started, the small hole was manageable but the large hole kept skipping out of the starting groove and I was unable to start a clean hole. Both small and large drills worked much better using water. There was noticeable ware after very short use. I was not impressed with the advertised dry drilling claim. I am not convinced the imbedded wax does as claimed but to be fair, I didn’t try to drill all the way through the porcelain tray. I would imagine these bits would preform better with a low fire ceramic, like an earthenware tile.I love the hex style shank, all bits should come that way.
