they wouldn't do well if you for some reason need the fabric stretched while cutting but I don't really see that being an issue for anyone who actually sews properly. I use these every day!

The packaging was great- all pieces are protected well. I was hoping for a bit thicker/heavier product for what I was doing but for lightweight materials to hold down they're fine.

I absolutely love these pattern weights! They come in a set of 5, and they are a smooth glass with no sharp edges. They are the perfect size to use with most patterns, and I am liking them so much better than using pins. My only regret is not buying two sets so I had more :-)I highly recommend these glass pattern weights to others, they are a strong 5 stars.

I took a chance on the weights, even though the photoshopped pictures showed them as very thin. They are not, they are about 1 cm in thickness. They do seem to be made of glass, not acrylic, and they weigh about 2 oz. They have nice finish, even the sides are polished, and they ground a tiny bevel at the edges so there is no sharp edge. Each was wrapped in plastic and then in bubble wrap altogether, and they came in perfect shape
