There's so many color options and it's super cool what all comes in this kit. I'm using it for a boat to use in a lake and so far this is all easy to use and is durable. Battery seems to last a long time and is a great price. If we ever want to make something again I will be purchasing this kit

Really just needed the TT motors, but the rest is a bonus. Good kit for a kid to learn on, if you have the rest.

This is an excellent set of parts for basic experimentation with DC motors for basic robotics or microcontroller experimentation. There is not much theory and no precision use of servo motors and H-bridges. But for my elderly hands the large parts enable ready and facile handling. A good value but it should be understood that this is not a complete kit for any given project.

I was a little disappointed with this motor kit. I got it for my 7 year-old grandson. We opened it and I began reading the instructions. We got a few things connected, but then we stalled. The instructions are not as clear as they should be. I had to give the kit to my grandson's dad, so he could help my grandson with it. This motor kit is more for a teen and adult than a child, in my opinion. The pieces looked nice in the plastic bags which were labeled well, so it wouldn't be fair to give this kit a bad review just because I wasn't smart enough to understand the instructions, so I gave it 4 stars because of the unclear instructions. I'm sure this will be a nice motor once it is completely finished.

This set is pretty cool. It has all the electrical components you need to make a cool toy. My 4yo son and I are working on making a tow truck. It does not come with any of the vehicle components that are not shown in the main product picture so you'll have to come up with something to connect them to yourself (no car or airplane bodies). I will be 3D printing our body so if that is an option for you then this is great. Also some hobby/scrap wood would be great.

My son (Elementary age) always wants to engineer something new, which is great. BUT, it makes it tough when he wants to use motors/electronics. This kit comes with quick connectors for the battery packs, motors, and switches. This makes it super easy for him to create, disassemble, and then reinvent his next gizmo. I love that it comes with propellers (plane and boat), wheels, and gear boxes. This is truly a “create your own” box. Well worth the price, and a good mix of components.

This is a fun and immediately engaging collection of motors, fans, switches, etc... that is a great entry point for tinkering. Whether you're making a little rover robot, or just playing with electrical circuits, this kit makes it easy to create kinetic creations that engage young (and not-so-young) minds. The plastic parts are no-frills and not particularly durable, but the motors seem to be doing a good job. The dupont motor connectors is a huge convenience as well - easy to integrate with a breadboard or other jumpers, and much more usable than bare terminals. I'll be using this with my 10yr old daughter as she dips into the world of Arduino-controlled robotics.

I never used these or built them as a kid. My oldest is six, so what better time to learn. She is too young to build these on her own but we’ve been able to work together with them. The parts seem decently made. The ones we’ve used so far work perfectly as they should. Definitely not for young kids, but fun for those advanced kids. lol
