I always have a problem with bacon curling & thus not cooking evenly. This works well to keep it flat. I had another rectangular glass bacon press. However it was too long to fit in my skillet therefor my new purchase of round bacon press.

This is my 4th one, as I've had them for a long time until finally (usually) I either crack it running it under cold water or the screw holding the "handle" falls out and gets lost. Especially good when you want a good sear like grilled cheese sandwiches or hamburgers.
