Too early to tell long term, but so far it is fine. It is the most quiet window unit I have owned. I very much doubt that it is an inverter as it claims because it cycles the compressor quite often. I'm taking away a star for that. The unit itself was damaged pretty good on the outside part of the cover. The packaging was perfect, which tells me they either missed the damage or didn't care. Not a big deal to me as it is only cosmetic, but loses another star. I really like the design as it allows me to drop the blinds flush with the unit and keep sunlight/moonlight out of the bedroom where it is being used. If it wasn't for that I would have purchased the Midea U shaped true inverter AC unit.Also, I'm very bummed that it doesn't make "Delicious ice cubes" like the picture states. Haha!

I found out too late that it has a CEER rating of 11.4. For about the same amount of money you can get an 8,000 BTU inverter air conditioner with a CEER rating of 15.0. On the highest setting it is not especially quiet but its initial functionality is adequate. The installation isn't exceedingly difficult and its weight distribution is a nice feature.
