Works well, especially when brewing finely ground decaf coffee. Previously, when I used a paper filter in the basket provided with the coffee maker, the grounds would float up & over the filter, into the basket. I ended up with tons of grounds in my coffee; had to dispose of the coffee & spend hours trying to clean the wet grounds out of the basket & each tiny crevasse within the coffee maker. The metal filter is rigid & tall enough that grounds are not able to float up & over its edges. Of course, you will need to dump the grounds & clean it after brewing, but it's very easy to clean - usually just wipe it out - and it is ready to go again.

This is a great solution to the very slow paper filters. Firs Hamilton Beach coffee make almost perfectly. 2 months and still very pleased.

Fits slightly loose in the basket, but works great. Very fine mesh, so it takes a bit longer to brew, but not a problem. Hubby says coffee tastes diffrent, but he likes it.We clean the mesh basket right away after use so it's easy to keep clean. No dried grounds to clog it.We actually use the basket and insulated Bonavita pot as a pour over. The machine died awhile ago and since we were tired of having to replace (any) coffee makers, we went with simple...pour over. Now we've gotten rid of paper filters too.

This basket is a great idea. No coffee grounds flow through the small holes. It fits the coffee maker; the coffee brews much faster without the paper filter. It's a good value for the money, and it saves money because you are not buying those wasteful paper filters. Lastly, being stainless steel, it is easy to wash, won't rust, and won't change the taste of your coffee.

I have been using the plastic solid bottom, reuseable, mesh side coffee filters from Amazon for many years with great success. So, this time ordering the plastic filters, I decided to order the stainless just try it out. It does the job, just like it was advertised. My neighbor came over to borrow paper filters one day (which I don't have) and I loaned him the stainless, he fell in love with it and bought it from me, time to order another one from Amazon.

I've been using resusable filters for a long, long time. One time purchase vs monthly purchases just makes sense. My old filter has gotten nasty, and it won't get clean any more. So, I looked for an alternative. Stainless steel is always a good investment. So, I got the filter, and make my first pot of coffee in my Bunn coffee maker. It works, but, the grounds climb up the side of the filter, almost overflowing out of the filter, into the basket.I think the holes should be just a weeee bit bigger, to allow the water to drain a little more quickly.I've started grinding my coffee beans just a little bit coarser, which seems to help. That is, I'm grinding percolator ground size, for my drip coffee maker. As the title says, it works, but it could be better.
