We raised our first batch of Cornish Cross last year and I couldn't find a cone that seemed like it would fit our chickens. We ended up purchasing traffic cones and cutting them down to size. While it worked, it wasn't ideal. Our chickens were quite large at 8.5 weeks (6-7 lbs dressed) and it took some effort keeping the birds from coming up out of the top of the cone. I doubt I'll have any problems with our next batch using this large, galvanized cone. It's flat on the back so it will be much easier to secure. Both the body and neck openings are nice and wide, and the top is tall enough to keep even a large bird in.

This medium size chicken restraint cone has been a nice addition to my processing equipment. Although it is designed for birds up to 7 pounds, I find it best suited for 4-5 pound chickens. It's easy to assemble and clean, and the galvanized steel seems to hold up well to outdoor conditions without rusting.I had to make some adjustments for larger birds, but overall, the cone is secure and does its job. If I notice any issues over time, I'll update my review, but for now, I'm pleased with its performance.

Excellent quality restraint cone for chickens. The flat back design is good. This will not do 14lb bird, which is fine because most people grow their birds to 8-10lbs.I highly recommend you put the wings to the flat back of the cone. We noticed when we put them in the other way, the meat was bruised as they could still flap.Overall, impressed with killing cone. The flat back design is perfect. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do not believe that this will hold a 14lb bird. Our birds were 8-9lb and the cone was full.

This item works as it should, and similarly to most cones. The shape seems to hold chickens in a little tighter.Good quality, no sharp edges.

This cone is well made of quality materials and should last a while. We haven't had a chance to use it yet but have tested it for fit on some large laying hens and it works very well. I'm confident we could fit a turkey in here as well, so we may try our hand at that, too. Galvanized, so it should resist rust and last a long time. It will mount very easily to any flat surface. I'm going to build myself a frame or erect a post just for this purpose. Solid product.

These work great for processing. However, they do not fit large roosters so keep that in mind. I would prefer them to be a little bit bigger but they work as is. Design quality is adequate and the material is corrosion free aluminum. When hanging these with screws, make sure you use washers, preferably fender washers. Rough use will wallow out the mounting holes if no washers are used. Ask me how I know...
