I didn't need the whole kit. I used about half of it. The first couple days I had frost that I had never seen before of the door not being heated anymore.

This part cost less than the Whirlpool factory part but you will spend more time making it work/fit than the cost difference between this knock-off and the true Whirlpool part. The Whirlpool part comes with one year warranty too.I made it work but it was another job in addition to installing the part.

This is a great repair option, particularly when the housing is worn out or pivot shaft eyelets are broken. It did take a little extra modification and adjustments, but works great now.

Well made, fast delivery. The main parts is made from metal so shouldn't break like the original. You may not need all parts. No instructions were provided so you may want to search for the appropriate YouTube video. The main metal mounting plate attaches inside the dispenser box with heavy, double-stick tape instead of screws- I hope it holds. Had to file the tip of the new hinge pin before I could insert it.
