this step down ring is good when you are in a pinch. I typically do not use step down rings as they have more of a chance of altering my full field of view. But in those few scenarios where the field of view is not as important as having that filter, then this is a great option.

This works perfectly as a step-down ring. It's light, but the threads are strong, and the machining feels great. I'm not at all worried about stripping out the threads, and everything tightens in super snugly without any grinding at all. The printing quality is also nice, and the entire piece is very minimal, and non-intrusive design.

Overall they do what you'd expect, they adapt a larger lens to a smaller filter size. I made the mistake of getting this step-down ring instead of a step-up ring, but that was my fault. Testing with what filters I have, the threads seem to be quite well made and screw on smoothly, and the ring overall seems to be decently sturdy.

This product is awesome and could save you money. Instead of buying different filter sizes, you can just invest and grab these instead. My set-up is all black so this blends like it’s actually part of the lens body.I can thread and remove it easily without fitment issues. This product is highly recommended.

EXCELLENT IDEA TO MAKE THIS REDUCER IN THE MIDDLE OF A PHOTOGRAPHIC SECTION ON THE BEACH I DROPPED THE 82 MM POLARIZED ND FILTER AND I HAD ANOTHER 67 MM THE IDEA THAT CAME TO ME WAS TO USE THIS REDUCER PLACE THE 67 MM FILTER AND MAKE A CUTOUT OF THE SENSOR TO AVOID THE BULLETS AND I COULD FINISH

I got this as a precaution, hoping not to use it, but I've learned to "expect the unexpected." My current camera lenses have either 67 or 82 mm filter threads. I have the Wiiye 67 to 82 step up ring, which allows me to use my larger filters on the smaller diameter lenses. In this case though, I'd be mounting a 67mm filter onto a lens that takes 82mm filters—and in general, I'd expect there to be some vignetting, due to the smaller opening. But—this step down ring seems worth always having in my bag, just in case I didn't pack the 82mm filter (but did have the 67mm one) that I'd like to use for a given situation. Then, to test how well it was threaded (just fine!) I tried it on a 45 to 100mm zoom, and amazingly, at no focal length was there any vignetting! So I may use this more than expected.Nicely finished; it seems sturdy, and is at a good price.
