I always put one the cheap, wired tachometers/hour meters on all my outdoor power equipment. Primarily for keeping track of hours for maintenance purposes. I've found that those cheap units can be a bit erratic when it comes to measuring rpm, probably due to electrical interference and and their overall "cheap" nature. But if you're doing engine diagnostics and repair, this unit DEFINITELY the way to go!

This unit no longer has a replaceable batter meaning when the battery dies so does the unit. Not only that but the price of this unit went way up making it a non affordable throwaway unit!
