This tool feels like a nice quality and will come in handy for cutting a lot of things. I am a little bit disappointed because it is smaller than I expected, and there is a project I started where I need to cut a thick nail, and it barely fits around it, but my wrists are not very strong so that could be the problem too, overall I feel that this is a handy tool to have around

This is a fine little tool, especially considering its price point (around $10). It's very solid and operates smoothly and it has no excessive slop. Both the materials and the execution are substantially better than I expected for this price. It's labeled a bolt cutter but it's no larger than a typical pliers and it's maximum jaw opening is a bit under 1/4 inch so it's physically incapable of cutting anything resembling an actual bolt. It is really a wire cutter, and it does that quite well. It cut up a wire coat hanger easily, although it did require some force. It cut through some thick concrete reinforcing wire grid, but that required quite a bit of force and it's really a bit small for that job. I have size Large hands and can operate it one-handed with no problem, but one-handed operation would be difficult for someone with size Small hands (like my wife). So long as you keep your expectations reasonable and you match the tool to the task, I can recommend this value-priced wire cutter.
