Works great so far. Seems strong and sturdy I used it to get my water pump pulley off and my a/c compressor clutch off. Highly recommend it!

This tool is not meant for smaller engines. Which is not good because the mild steel it's made of can only really handle the torque specs of a smaller engine. The sizing of everything overall made it difficult for me to immobilize the fan pully on a 4.2L I-6 Vortec engine. (PS: The local machine shop thinks I'm insane for working on this engine.) I couldn't use it in the manner that was intended because the clearance between the fan clutch and the fan pulley were so close - I couldn't even get the pins by themselves into the fan pully. So I had to improvise a bit with it before I could finally get in there with the pneumatic fan clutch wrenchBut the real let down was when I moved on to the crankshaft pulley. Which this product's description claims is within its capabilities. Unfortunately, that wasn't really the case because the spanner arm wound up bending forty-five degrees to the sideAll-in-all, I returned it as a defective product for a refund. That, at least, went through with no real issues. So while I may buy from the seller again, it won't be this particular product.

Would not fit my 2005 Chevy Colorado. Good quality tool though

I was apprehensive at first but the pics don't do it justice. Very sturdy and robust, nice carrying case, just what I needed to complete the job. I had to replace the seal on my Hummer H3's transfer case front output flange, this tool held the flange still so that I could break the 235 lbs of torque on the 30mm nut, then held the flange still again while I re-torqued the nut back to 235lb/ft. Granted, I did not hold this holder in my hands while I loosened/tightened, rather I positioned the tool against the frame of the truck to keep it steady and it held true, even the included pins didn't bend.

One of the previous reviewers commented on the fact that there isn't enough space to insert the pins into the holes when replacing a fan clutch. This is correct, but it's relatively easily achieved if the holes on the tool and fan are lined up before inserting the pins.I was very impressed with the quality and price and only reduced it to 4 stars because of the awkwardness of inserting the pins. With that knowledge, I highly recommend it.

I bought this to remove my harmonic balancer and it bent. It is now useless. I eventually just bumped the starter and broke the bolt lose. I have used these pulley holders in the past and had success but not this time.

Two camshaft pulleys that just wouldn't break loose. I used a cheater bar and this tool and ended up bending one corner of the tool. I tried again without the cheater bar and instead of straight pulling, I yanked my breaker bar and had this pulley holder held fast under the alternator pulley andI finally had the camshaft pulley's removed. Great tool, I had to straighten out that one corner but the steel is so strong I had a tough time getting it bent back out straight; Great Tool if you know how to use it!
