Twin Wall Polycarbonate Panel are easy to cut and bend
Usage: Durable, versatile, and easy to work with, polycarbonate panels can be used in hundreds of custom projects. Patio and pergola coverings, skylights, custom greenhouses and other structures. There is no limit to their use.
Cutting: Twin Wall Polycarbonate Panel can be cut easily and accurately with circular saw, hand and hacksaws or a a sharp razor blade knife. Circular saws should have fine-toothed blades. Saw dust should be blown out of the channels using dry compressed air. The sheet should be clamped to the worktable to avoid undesirable vibration. Do not remove the protective masking to avoid scratching the surface.
Bending: Multi-wall Polycarbonate is sufficiently flexible to allow moderate curves.
Positioning: Polycarbonate Sheets must be installed with the ribs running vertically.
Sealing: Always seal top of Multi-wall polycarbonate sheet to protect dirt and dust from entering the channels. Use 1” wide foil tape to seal channels.
Always seal bottom of Multi-wall polycar- bonate sheet to protect dirt, dust and in- sects from entering the channels. Use spe- cial 1” anti-dust tape which allows chan- nels to breathe.
Fastening: Multi-wall Polycarbonate can be fastened directly to a wooden or metal greenhouse sub- structure. The screws used to fasten Multi-wall Polycar- bonate should have neoprene or EPDM washers. Ensure that the washer does not crush the polycarbonate panel. #9 x 1-1/2" wood screws with neoprene sealing washer can be used to fasten multi-wall polycarbonate sheets to wood base. #10/16 x 1-1/2" screws can be used used to fasten multi-wall polycarbonate sheets to metal base.
