Method 1: Use System Information to find your laptop model
- Step 1: Press " Windows + R " to open the Run window.
- Step 2: Type " msinfo32 " in the empty box and click " OK " to open System Information.
- Step 3: Keep in the " System Summary " section and you will find the " System Model " item in the right pane.
Method 2: Open the back cover of the laptop and confirm the battery type and capacity, as well as the model of the laptop.
- Step 1: Turn off the laptop and unplug the power cord (to prevent electric shock)
- Step 2: Remove the back panel with a screwdriver. (Please proceed with care to avoid damage to the laptop's components.)
- Step 3: Disconnect the cable connected to the battery and remove it. After that, you can check the specifications of your battery.

Manual calibration, The steps are:
1) Shut down, plug in the power adapter to fully charge the battery. If the battery is full, you can proceed directly to the next step.
2) Unplug the power adapter, turn on the battery, and let the battery automatically discharge until the computer automatically shuts down. During this period, it is best not to do any computer operations.
3) Plug in the battery adapter and fully charge the battery. This process is OK if it is turned on or not.

To borrow software, such as batteryMon :
1) Install the battery, plug in the power adapter, and power on. Run Batterymon and click the start button. After charging, shut down and unplug the adapter.
2) Restart and run Batterymon. Close all applications, adjust the power plan to turn off the screen for 1 minute and never go to sleep, and then slowly wait for the battery to discharge until it automatically shuts down. Repeat the operation 3 times.

Use the battery that comes with BIOS to calibrate:
(1) After booting, quickly press the "F2" key to enter the BIOS menu; use the left and right direction keys to select and enter the Power menu.
(2) Enter the Power menu, you can see the "Start Battery Calibration" option, select it and press the Enter key to execute.
(3) At this time, the screen will turn blue, and there will be a prompt in English, requiring that the notebook's power adapter be plugged in to charge the battery. After the battery is fully charged, the screen prompts the user to disconnect the power adapter. After that, the notebook continues to discharge the battery until the battery is exhausted.
(4) This step takes a long time. You need to wait for the laptop battery to automatically shut down after it is exhausted, and then connect the power adapter to charge the battery, but do not turn it on. After the charging is completed, the battery calibration process is considered complete.

Tips for Battery Maintenance
- Discharge the battery to 5% (not 0%) when you got the battery, then charge and cycle 3-4 times to wake up the new battery.
- The important point is to perform a full discharge and charge every other month to extend the battery life.
- Do not connect adapter for a long time while using the battery. It may damage the battery.
- Avoid artificial shocks, disassembly, crush or puncture. Do not dispose of it in fire or water.
Usual Troubleshooting Methords
- For: Battery cannot be identified by your laptop or it doesn’t seem to work.
- Could be caused by battery loose. Please remove the battery and try to install more than once.
- May be due to conductive material damaged which the laptop motherboard and battery anode and cathode contact position, you can try to confirm it with your original battery.
- Check whether the battery drive is in normal condition, if not, download the corresponding driver software to update.
- Take out the battery and press the power button for about 15 seconds to consume the internal residual power (Do not connect the power cord), and then reinstall the battery. You can try several times.

I was a little hesitant to try this battery because it's off brand, but I'm glad I listened to the other reviews and tried it. I had never changed a laptop battery before and my laptop was at the point where the battery would maybe last an hour before I had to plug it in again, so I thought I'd try my hand at it. Removing the original battery was simple and this one fit exactly. It was very challenging to plug in because it was such a tight fit and my husband ended up having to slowly shimmy it in there because I couldn't get it. However, after installation it is working perfectly and I can take my laptop on the go again!

Very simple to replace the battery there was five screws and one cable a slot that holds the battery in place I have to removing the screws. Once you remove the screws and the cable remove the battery from the slot and replace the new one

bought this product for my Dell laptop, first unit was defective, had to return. Second unit was used for 3 months and now battery dies in 30 minutes. Stay away from this product....

My old battery would constantly die on me after only a half hour of work on the company laptop. Whoever used this laptop before me seems to have let it discharge again and again. I installed this new battery and it already had a 70% charge for 6 hours worth of work. This has given my Vostro 5130 new life. Now I have 7+ hours with a full charge. 😃

I repair laptops and desktops for work. On any given year I replace 30-50 batteries so I've seen a good number of offerings for replacement batteries. I needed a quick turn-around on a laptop and with Prime it was here in a day and the battery itself was of good quality. Sometimes you find the mounts are just a bit off from the original, not with this. They were 100% dead on. No need to try and stretch things or screw around. Connections were solid and connectors snapped right in, well enough that I disconnected them and re-did it because that never happens without some tweaking. I let it sit on a charger for a few hours before powering up and sure enough Windows showed more than 4 hours of battery life available, and that's all that matters.Don't hesitate on this one, it's a quality item.
