I tried this with a hard wood bowl turning and found the tips are not that strong. For soft wood it is ok

I use these chisels for cutting wood on my lathe nice long handles and very sharp. Makes the job so much nicer having the sharp chisels.

After a few weeks of hobby turning , one handle is ready to crack, one came completely apart . Others have shifted …safety hazard . All tools do not hold an edge.

I was not expecting the HSS to be as thick as it is, should hold a good edge and resharpen nicely when needed.
