Overall, there is not too much to say, other than that this is good quality sandpaper. It has a heavy backing and so far, appears to be holding up at least as well as would be expected of any good quality sandpaper. Value is also about typical of comparable products. I find that "cheap" sandpaper is usually not actually cheap since it fails so quickly that you end up using 2 or 3 times more sheets than you would of a better grade. So far, I have been very pleased with this product and can easily recommend it.

I ordered this to use on wood lathe projects. My first impression was that the paper has good heft. It's not light and flimsy. To cut it into smaller handheld sizes for sanding on a lathe, I folded the sandpaper to crease it, then tore it along the crease. It tore cleanly. It has held up nicely during sanding.The Virginia Abrasives brand is high quality. This is not a cheap knockoff. I highly recommend it.

This is pretty good quality sandpaper. Don't let the name fool you though, these sheets are made outside of the US and not in that southern state. The abrasive is aluminum oxide which is fairly typical for sandpaper but thought I'd point it out that it's nothing that's high performance like ceramic or zirconia. You get 20 sheets here and it's a pretty good deal at that price for the cost per sheet. I found that they held up well enough and though they didn't stand out, they definitely were not some of the sandpaper sheets that I've had before that were a total disappointment. So I'd say that these are slightly above average and I rated them accordingly

There's nothing inherently wrong with this sandpaper, it seems to be good quality and works as it should without degrading too quickly. The reason I can't give it 5 full stars is that 3M's Pro is less than a buck more and that's worth it for the (slightly) non-slip backing. I typically only sheets like this for laying on my bench to sand a flat surface or tearing bits from for small pieces. For the former it is very helpful to have anti-slip backing, I didn't realize how much harder it would be to hold the sheet in place while rubbing a piece of wood against it without that backing. One other quick note is that with the purple sandpaper you really can see how much of it is coming off, whereas this just blends in with your sawdust.If your use is different (e.g. you only use sheets with sanding blocks) then these sheets will work just fine for you. I'll go back to what I was using.
