I bought this to give our chickens shade in the summer - it gets pretty hot here in South Arkansas, and this did a great job! We did double it before putting it on the east side of the run to block the hottest part of the day, but single ply on top does a great job, too. I highly recommend it.

I’ve waited to leave this review because other reviews were saying the weave isn’t holding. This is a GOOD durable shade tarp. Obviously mine could be tighter, but that isn’t the tarps fault. That’s me using para cord 🤣. The tarp gets rubbed twice a day with a coop door and hasn’t snagged ONCE… not even a run in the weave. This likes to bounce in the wind, but stays put, and we’ve had some serious wind lately. This fl has been installed for over two months in florida. I am very please l’s with this, I’ve already ordered one for my garden! I shopped a lot for price and size and this is a good deal. I would recommend.

It’s see through. It reminds me of the material they make onion bags out of. Like plastic strings. Overall it does the job.
