Made a couple of modifications including drilling out the top to fit the mounting post. Worked ok but the foam sleeve furnished is TOO SMALL to slide down onto the filter. Material tore in the attempt to fit. Can use as is but really need the extra filtration of the foam.

I almost returned it, thinking it didn't fit. I watched a video that said they're often a very tight fit and had some suggestions on how to get it in place (I can't remember what it was now). I was able to get it on the vac and it works great! No more dust blowing out the back of the vacuum!! Will definitely buy more if needed. (I think I read that these cartridge type filters might be Washable? Not sure but it's worth it even if you have to buy replacements - for no more dust!)

Great replacement Filter Fits great! I have two Shop vacs. I take one out and use this one as a clean one so I can keep vacuuming! Clean the other one Later!

I have an older Shop vac (not ancient... perhaps mid oughts). USe it mostly for cleaning ash from my smoker Could not use it for that for several years as I didn't have a good filter (the unit originally came with a dry filter which for something as fine as charcoal ash is useless). Recently picked this filter up and found it a huge improvement. I am now able to vac up ash without making a huge cloud. The included lid keeps the open end snug (just tighten for a firmer grip) and it cleans up with a couple drops.

Delivery took longer than expected, however, the filters fit like a glove and the kit included the resin cap.Happy with the quality and the price. Will definetley buy from jere again
