How can I make my lamp last longer?
- Do not allow the projector to overheat; the primary cause of lamp failure is excessive temperature stress.
- Allow the projector lamp to cool for at least 10 minutes after powering down, and never move the projector during this period or while the lamp is on. The lamp is much more susceptible to damage while it is hot.
- Operate your projector in a clean, relatively dust-free environment to prevent clogging of fans and air filters. These filters should be cleaned regularly.
- Allow plenty of space around the projector's fan or exhaust so excess heat can be dispersed properly.
- Utilize the "economy mode" if it is available with your projector model and is appropriate for your situation. This mode decreases projector brightness but the lamp will last longer.
- Never leave a projector in very hot or very cold environments, for example in a car on a summer or winter day.

I installed this Lamp Housing on my Mitsubishi WD-73740 TV on Dec. 25, 2021. These are the issues that I have already come across:1. While installing the Lamp Housing, the top screw did not work properly, because of which I was NOT able to tighten the top part of the housing. I assumed that the housing might work with just one screw, so I left it alone.2. Just after two weeks of use, it is taking my TV more than 25 seconds to light up. So, I can only assume that it will probably take even more time after only a couple of months of use.3. Just yesterday, I noticed that upon start the top-left corner quadrant of my TV appeared dimmer than the rest of the TV Screen. It became normal after a few seconds. I hope that I don't face that problem again.I don't think I will buy another Lamp Housing replacement from this Amazon Seller in the future.

Installed properly, didn't touch glass. Bulb lasted 24 days. It didn't flicker, it just popped and went very dim and unwachable. I've bought quite a few of these cheap bulbs, but this was by far the worst.

Lamp died on Nov 5th, can no longer recommendHave been using the lamp in our TV for nearly 3 weeks now without issue. Only went with this lamp because it was available for next day delivery and at just $23 I wasn't concerned with the negative reviews. Extremely happy that so far it seems as good as our last replacement lamp. I will update review if the lamp goes out prematurely.
