These are the best U-Bass strings I’ve had. They aren’t soft, and don’t get sticky when my fingers are warm. Yet they are more comfortable on the fingers than metal strings.

Put these on my light bamboo from Kala and they look great! Now that's out of the way, they also sound really nice. Good depth and bounce back- important on runs. Am about to buy another set for a new bass.Recently used these on a studio recording and very pleased with the results.Have all the Aquilla colors. The Browns are my favs, but these are really nice also.

I bought these as a replacement of the black string that came on my U-bass. A tiny bit less buzz on the E string, otherwise not much difference

I bought these for my fretless Kala U-Bass because they came highly-recommended by some professionals and players as an upgrade for both tone and feel, and reducing ghost sounds that occur when your fingers hit the strings. After installing them, I was immediately disappointed. There was no marked improvement in tone, and they felt a little sticky. They're slightly smaller in diameter than the stock strings, which causes buzzing in the nut. I had to adjust the truss rod to correct some buzzing on the E string at the F fret location (again, I'm playing a fretless U-Bass). However: I figured I'd play them for awhile, let them settle in, then judge them over the short-to-medium term.My experience: they only got worse over time. The E and A strings are now so sticky that I can barely glide notes, and all slides and glides are accompanied by loud squeaks. When playing with my fingers, there is an audible pop/crack sound whenever my fingers pull away from the string, due to how relentlessly sticky they are. I can't even enjoy playing the instrument with these strings on it; their performance is a constant irritation.I might try putting talcum powder on them, as some suggest it helps. This strikes me as absurd, however; I'm going to correct an issue with a replaceable part by putting baby powder on my instrument? Yeech.2/5 stars because they do technically work, and they don't sound particularly bad. They probably last, too; not that you'd want them to.Overall, I strongly recommend NOT spending money on these. I really regret it.

It takes a few days to stretch and settle in on the bass uke. Be sure to use google and go online to watch the video of how to make it stretch and settle properly.

Bei meinen alten Saiten klang die E-Saite etwas dumpf...Bin mit dem klaren Sound der red label mega zufrieden.Ab jetzt standard!

Great punchy sound..thinner than white strings and far less sticky so with a little talc they are superb. Been using for years now, Great.

Incredible. These cost 1/3 as much as my Hadaen u-bass, but make it sound like a $530 Gold Tone. The strings are immensely smooth and provide an astonishingly huge sound. This was a valuable, quality investment that I will be sure to enjoy for many, many years. 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for an alternative to a high-quality u-bass (high quality strings!)

I got these to replace the Thunder Gut strings which came stock on my Savannah solid body fretless micro bass. The red strings are more dense, a little thinner and smoother with a nice resonance. I actually had to lower my bridge slightly to improve the action a bit. The gut strings are stickier than the red.

Update 5/1/21I just ordered another set for my California ubass. Gotta say that the product description on the page is nothing short of terrible. They missed all of the good points of this product and only described how other strings would come up short. Whoever is selling this product please update the page. This is really great strings. The strings feels great and produce great tone. I was skeptical but now I’m sold.

Bought these for my Kala uBass to replace the original strings. They are less glossy and rubbery, allowing a more tactile feel under your fingers, and they produce a punchier, cleaner, more focused sound. The intonation seems much improved too, staying pretty true all the way to at least the 12th fret, which was not the case with the original strings. Overall I'm really pleased with these red beauties!Stringing tip: you'll need to knot the G and D strings to prevent them from slipping when you tune up.
