Wrong size threaded Female hole. My brass fittings would not work. Took a chance and ordered another one and it worked fine.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing. Thread pitch was wrong, tapped. The bracket attachment was not tapped, tapped. installed, the solenoids do not work.Total POS

Bought this as a replacement for suspected defective one on my Atwood G6A-8E. After spending a lot of time troubleshooting I found the the valve was not opening and allowing the gas to flow. Replaced it with another one from a different supplier, now I have a working water heater,

When I went to install this valve, neither one of my original fittings would fit, inlet or outlet. The Atwood original is tapped for NPT pipe thread, whereas this part is tapped for compression/flare fitting thread. Using an adapter for the orifice holder puts the burner too far to the right therefore will not work. The hole for the mounting screw is not tapped either.

defective unit. buyer beware.needed hot water took new one apart and used old body.still did not work.rv tech in park had one.used new solinoids and saved the day.
