How to Install the Replacement Trigger for Mercury Outboard 98450A10 93880A1 98450A1 98450A3 98450A5 - Fits 6-25 HP 2 Stroke 2 Cylinder Models (Sea Pro, XD, XR10, Magnum, Marathon)
- Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
- Remove the flywheel cover using a socket wrench or a screwdriver.
- Remove the flywheel nut with a socket wrench.
- Use a flywheel puller to remove the flywheel from the crankshaft.
- Locate the old trigger assembly and remove it from the engine by gently pulling it out.
- Install the new trigger assembly into the same location where the old one was removed from.
- Reinstall the flywheel by threading the nut back on and tightening it with a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Reinstall the flywheel cover.
- Reconnect the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
- Test the engine to ensure it is running properly.
