How to Install the Replacement Trigger for Mercury Outboard 98450A10 93880A1 98450A1 98450A3 98450A5 - Fits 6-25 HP 2 Stroke 2 Cylinder Models (Sea Pro, XD, XR10, Magnum, Marathon)

  1. Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
  2. Remove the flywheel cover using a socket wrench or a screwdriver.
  3. Remove the flywheel nut with a socket wrench.
  4. Use a flywheel puller to remove the flywheel from the crankshaft.
  5. Locate the old trigger assembly and remove it from the engine by gently pulling it out.
  6. Install the new trigger assembly into the same location where the old one was removed from.
  7. Reinstall the flywheel by threading the nut back on and tightening it with a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specifications.
  8. Reinstall the flywheel cover.
  9. Reconnect the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
  10. Test the engine to ensure it is running properly.
