EVERY PRODUCT HAS IT'S ISSUES, it's all about the customer service! I understand electronics and sometimes faulty parts get through QC. I jumped the gun with the customer support at ROP Power Shop and for that, I am sorry. I was contacted the same day that I wrote this review - probably even before I submitted the review. Melissa from ROP worked with me to refund the money for the faulty unit. I would have tried them again if I didn't already send the entire unit in for repair. For this effort, I went from 1 star to 4 stars - I couldn't give 5 stars due to the faulty part, but their customer service was well deserving of 5 stars! Thank you and consider this a retraction of my original review.Original post:I purchased this item to save $$ only to find out that this part is NOT a good working part. I installed it and it struggled to lift the engine Yamaha VF250LA VMAX then went out all together. I tried to contact the manufacturer but it was outside the window that Amazon set, so there was no reaching as the Seller Messaging Assistant would not forward any message. While the unit fit the trim assembly, it did not work! A bit of advice that I should have followed - when dealing with specialty items, do not cheap out like I did! I am actually sending the whole trim unit in for rebuild now. This motor is a total waste of money!!!

Tilt trim motor from ROP was a perfect match. Exactly as pictured. And is 100% identical to factory motor. This motor is quality 4 bolt motor. And was super easy to install on my 2014 yamaha 250 sho. Works Flawlessly. Wish the electrical cable could have been about 3 inches longer but there is enough there to route without damage if you run it in the cowling just right. Overall very pleased. Now only time will tell for durability and longevity.
