PYTHON CLAMP WITH GRIP JOINT

Part Number – 9.VP5081C

5081C

Description

There is more to the Python Clamp than meets the eye. It can be adapted for use with many different accessories used in photo, video, stage, and visual merchandising. Some examples of use are:

Photo and Video: It can be used in a combination with a grip head, where by replacing the grip head’s two discs and replacing with the Python Clamp, the grip head is then able to clamp onto odd shaped objects and tubes up to 50mm. Stage: It can be used in combination with a truss coupler to attach truss structures to regular building materials such as wood boards. It can also be used together with an adapter to hang lighting fixtures on a greater range of different mounting shapes.

5081C 2

Visual Merchandising: It can be used in combination with any 10mm rods to form shelves, hangers, or holders of any kind. The Python Clamp with Grip Joint is fitted with a unique grip head that fastens onto rods ranging in diameter from 1/4” to 5/8”. The clamp can be used like a traditional grip head on a stand but with the added functionality that the Python Clamp provides.

5081C 3

All Python Clamps can have their center bolts removed, allowing use with any 3/8”-16 (10mm) threaded equipment.

Really I’m just writing this since it’s previously only had one review and it’s one star. The clamp is fine, well built and strong. It’s a little annoying that when you loosen it, everything loosens and sort of falls apart. It’s a small annoyance however for what is really a nice clamp. I have one, will I ever buy another? Maybe if a situation presented itself but probably not just to have on hand.Edit: 2024 -so I did did indeed buy another one. As I’ve used 9.solutions rods for rigging more things it really is a handy clamp in certain situations. Not something you need all the time like convi or savior clamps but nice when you need it with rigging rods.
