The best way to describe this product is it does what its supposed to. I use this chalk for weight lifting. I don't care to use gloves. This chalk is great for grip and works really well even with sweaty hands. It does leave a chalky residue but nothing that can't be wiped off. It definitely has a weird smell but nothing that can't be ignored when your focused on form when lifting. I recommend this to anyone wanting extra grip for lifting weights while worrying about sweaty hands.

This is my second time order this chalk and it is a good product at a great value. The bag makes it very easy to use, but be careful where you keep it as it can get messy. The chalk works great and the last time I got this product was a couple of years ago and more recently have I just run out. It lasts a long time and does its job.

I climb multiple times a week at an indoor climbing facility, and use chalk all the time. At first I thought the addition of essential oils in this product would be a drawback, but after using it the first time I quickly realized this chalk is wonderful! This chalk doesn't dry the hands out like other types, it smells amazing and leaves them feeling soft after washing. I have been using my alternative chalk for the last few months because I ran out of this kind, and I realize how spoiled I had become. Reordering now, because you really can't beat it!TL;DR: Buy this chalk. Not one single regret other than I failed to reorder sooner!

I bought this chalk because the knurling on my barbell is whack and with sweaty palms the barbell would always slip. This is the first time I've used chalk for lifting and this product worked great. I apply only a small amount (few squeezes on the bag) usually twice throughout, and my grip lasts for a full 5x5 set. It smells great, just like the powder a barber would use, very clean.

This is a good chalk product made in USA. I liked the ball since you can just touch or grab it for easy application. However, I wanted to use it for pole dance/fitness and it did not work for me on the chrome bars. I believe there may be a slight oil in it that worked against me once my hands got moist on the bar. It has a slight menthol scent which doesn't bother me much, but probably why I couldn't stick to the pole bar. I later used the chalk ball for weightlifting with a friend and we both thought it worked great. The bag is a little cumbersome when applying, maybe needs to be bigger so you can fit the hand in easier.

Chalk is chalk is chalk, right?Wrong. This stuff is worth every penny.I use it for kettlebell swings and snatches, deadlifts with my bar, pull ups and hangs...everything.A little goes a long way. Super silky and dry. Smells like magic and lifts. (Really...I smell the herbal clean scent, and I know it’s time for business; it’s motivation.) Scent is herby and clean, not floral, not overpowering, just perfect (not masculine or feminine, if you were wondering). Not to mention, antimicrobial - and if you share chalk, that’s a huge plus, especially these days. It works every single time, outdoors even, in super humid Georgia weather. Kettlebell handles get really slick, especially over long sets, and this stuff keeps on going. I have calluses and it protects them and actually conditions my hands a little! Yes, I’ve torn my calluses before...not a fun experience.Summary: It’s worth the price. Save the other stuff for the chalkboard - you won’t be needing it anymore.

I'm a big fan of chalk & this chalk is pretty amazing. This chalk has a very fine texture however & I have found it works best to rub the bag on your hands versus clapping it between your hands. Otherwise, a lot of the chalk goes flying into the air. The addition of essential oils to the chalk is the best part--I have all my friends wanting to use this chalk because of its scent & antibacterial properties. I haven't had to refill it yet but I love the idea of being able to refill it once I run out. The drawstring on the bag is also nice because I can hang it up near me while I'm working out. I've tried other less expensive chalk bags & Primo chalk is definitely worth the extra $!

I'm not sure if I like this product or not. It smells pretty, and feels silky, but it's so light and airy that it gets everywhere...and not much gets on my hands. I can't seem to coat my hands with it no matter how hard I try. It just looks like a dusting, but I wonder if not much of this product is needed compared to other chalks?? That's what I'm not sure of because my grip isn't suffering, and my hands don't feel dry when I use it during a crossfit workout. I use it exclusively for toes to bar with my grips. My major qualm is the packaging. The bag it comes it juust fits the sock ball who'sy-what'sy, so when you put the ball back into the bag, it kinda spews chalk everywhere. Would it kill to make the bag bigger? and have a nicer closure? It's a crappy ziploc style closure that doesn't work well. I'm going to use a small empty BCAA container to keep mine in. Maybe the sock style works well for rock climbers, but not crossfitters. Next time I will be purchasing a less messy chalk block.
