Sadly, you usually get what you pay for. These were clearly designed by a "plastics engineer" who likely was never in a room with a drum. The brushes are too short to get a decent balance. When you find the balance, you've used up half their short length, and then there's so little brush extending from your hand that it significantly reduces your reach on the drums and cymbals. The individual plastic sticks that make up the brush are not on a plane with each other, but jut out "willy-nilly" into the air, in a disorganized fashion, cause the tone to be wimpy and unfocused. A more minor concern is that you have to pull the brushes out of the housing by hand, you don't push them out with a rod like a wire brush. That slows down implementation. On the plus side, the purple color of the brushes is lovely... so there is that. In spite of the lovely color, I'm looking forward to returning mine. I'll pay 3x the money to get similar plastic/nylon brushes which have been designed and tested by someone who actually plays drums. Yup.... it's buyer's remorse time for me........ :-(

You get what you pay for. I’ve not used them a ton but can tell they will not let long. It gets the job done. (Review from my drummer husband)
