Your cart is empty.The A Year in Solids Booklet by Jessica Dayon was inspired by the rich history of quilting and the connection Jessica feels every time she quilts. She thinks about the quilter's past and their quilting journey. It's that awe-inducing feeling she felt when wanting to recreate so many of the booklet's historical quilts. Jessica designed these quilts with easier piecing methods than those used in older times. She chose to make most of them two-color (some three) Confetti Cotton Solids quilts. The 12 quilts from the booklet correspond to each month of the year. Jessica hopes these quilts inspire you to quilt "a year in solids" with her.

I have already found several quilts for my next projects in 2025 and beyond. The spiral binding makes it sturdy and will make it easy to read. I can hardly wait to get started.

An interesting concept for using solid colors for quilt tops!Jessica is excellent at explaining patterns on her YouTube channel. This book has well-written instructions for many types of quilt pieces. It’s a nice accompaniment to the YouTube content. Thanks!

I have MANY quilt books and patterns. This book is without a doubt the easiest and most comprehensive pattern book I've ever seen or used. Everything is so easy to follow and written out in such easy steps. Every single quilt is beautiful and one I would make. I cannot say that about any other book I have. This is an incredible quilt pattern book.

I love this and can’t wait to start making my “solid” quilts…especially the one on the cover…my favorite color. Also, the author does YouTube videos demonstrating how to do each one.

Jessica Dayon has done all the arithmetic for the 12 truly lovely Quilts she designed specifically for solid fabrics. Each month if the year gets its own quilt, and she has very helpful YouTube videos to assist quilters in making their own versions. Most helpful as well is that this book was a coil-bound paperback book, so it lays flat. You can have it beside you while you’re cutting and assembling your quilt. Highly recommend this book!
