Very simple and easy to use. The right helical actually tightens field tips as they hit the target. The rods don't slide into the holes very smoothly but a little squirt of WD-40 fixes that real quick. I also added some electrical tape to the peg that houses the arrow shaft holder so that it's a little more sturdy. Other than that, it works great and for a bargain compared to most jigs

WOW!! That's all I can say. This is awesome in every way from the price to the quality. I tried the Bitzenburger and it was awful compared to this jig and 3 times the price. This jig was easy to use and very precise. I love it!!

This is one of those products you hate and appreciate at the same time.Bad:First off, while it's nice to be able to switch the positions of the end pieces (the X shaped end and the end where you nock your arrow) and turn the X upside down for standard and reduced diameter shafts, the end pieces often fell off on my unit, which ultimately led me to fletch-glue the end pieces on.Second, the clamp is secured by pushing 2 rods down into the base, on my unit, the rods were too thick, resulting in the clamp being very hard to insert and remove, I sanded down the posts and added a bit of lubricant to make moving the clamp easier.Third, the description says "1 offset" and according to some of the sellers here on Amazon should be straight, the jig I (and some other reviewers) revived seemed to have something closer to a 3 degree helical (which I actually prefer over a straight offset, but is still a inaccurate product description)Fourth, as many of the other reviewers have said, glue that sticks to the clamp is hard to remove, which is why I suggest a "controllable" glue like loc tite control ultra gel (product link somewhere on this review)Good: (with modifications [sanding down the rods and gluing the end pieces on])I actually like the rod design more than some magnetic fletching jigs, the clamp goes straight down and distributes pressure fairly well, which makes it very forgiving compared to magnetic clamps which can apply uneven pressure and are sometimes hard to push down perpendicular to your shaft. As aforementioned, the X can be turned upside down to accept reduced diameter shafts, which some jigs can't do.Notes:I would definitely recommend making the modifications I made, they make the jig much more usableWhile the jig is only designed to fletch 120 degrees apart, modifying it to make 90 degree offsets shoulden't be too hardmaking a mark on the bottom of the clamp with a knife or sharpie helps you align your fletchings better, as the markings on the clamp are thick/coarse.But if you intend on fletching arrows in mass (eg for a club), I would reccomend buying a multi-jig like the JoJan jig rather than several of these. If you think you will re-fletch your arrows on the move, I would recommend the E-Z fletch tool.

I'm shocked to be the only one to report this issue, but I use pre-made Gold Tip Hunter arrows which come with the nocks glued in and set so the cock vane is at 12:00 looking down the arrow shaft. I knocked a vane off one and bought this jig to repair it only to discover that none of the 3 predefined positions in the receiver body align correctly. I dry-fit a good arrow in the photo to illustrate the misalignment - it's not off by much but enough that it definitely won't align with the nock nor allow me to repair just one vane. Very disappointed and also agree with many other comments about the non-ease of use.

I have to say I bought one of these years ago when they had the magnetic clamping and that was a perfect Fletching Jig. I marked down 2 star for 2 reasons.1. The design of this is not meant to last it is just plastic all that was holding the fletching clamp was 2 half cut spring rings.2. The plastic that holds the Fletching clamp is not friendly and if extremely stiff making putting on a fletch on the arrow shaft a chore. The is a bare bones budget Fletching Jig and although it does get the job done I have done 4 arrow's out of 12 so far with the straight clamp, this thing leaves alot to be desired as far as the clamp goes. If you going to fletch arrow long term save your money and spend $20-$30 more and get a quality one with the magnetic clamp that is far more forgiving.I will not be purchasing this type again if I could find an older model that has the magnetic clamp I would buy that in a heart beat but this is not worth the $30+ for such a inferior product.

Being new to fletching my own arrows I didn't want to spend a fortune on a jig. This did a nice job. The guides that slide in and out are stiff and hard to pull up while holding the jig down, but a little fine sand paper and some work fixed that. Stays in my range box for fixing a fletch in the field.

I have now had this jig for over a year and have fletched over 50 arrows. I bought it because it was fairly priced and had good reviews and now I can't be happier. My groupings have also tightened up and I have even destroyed a few arrows from 30+ yrds by robin hoods. I can only contribute this due to the consistency of the fletch and would strongly suggest fetching your own arrows with the duravane fusion 3". They are far superior to the cheap blazer vane and work great for target and broadhead shooting.

Does NOT work! At all as described. I tried 3 different types of arrows and two different types of glue. This is my first fletching jig. I wanted something to throw in my pack for the field. So I tried it at home first. There is no pressure to fit straight on the arrow in the back and its off on angle. Not degrees side angle for coming straight down on the center of arrow. Basically one side of the fletching base touches the arrow and the back doesn't seat unless you hold it yourself. This thing sucks! I'm going to send back and get a better one.
